Why is my Jeep clunking in the rear?

Depending on the model of the jeep, it could be a worn differential, leaf spring bushings, or universal joints. Sometimes your slip yoke can be inadequately lubricated and that can cause a sound that appears to come from the rear.

Your Jeep needs to have the rear shock absorbers changed or serviced i would suggest you change the shock at the rear to keep the ride smooth and pleasant.

Your Jeep should be clunking at all. More than likely your have something loose lie the spare tire. Inspect the bottom to make sure everything is where it should be and nothing is loose.
