If it's been restored it might be quite a bit, but I'll assume you're just talking about an older car that a friend or neighbor wants to sell you. In that case, i would say AT MOST no more than 600-700 dollars. Don't pay more than that for such an old vehicle.

It all depends on what kind of Oldsmobile you want. For example if it was a '74 Cutlass in good or excellent condition you may pay ten thousand or more but if it was a less desirable model the price could just be a couple thousand or not even that.

Depending on model, options, millage, paint, condition. An Omega 2 door in good shape for its age, would be around $2,000. Then you can go up to a 2 door Delta 88 roylale Convertible {Indy Pace car)option, in mint condition would be the $15.000 to 18,000 range.

A 1974 Oldsmobile is going to be a cheaper car unless it is all original and in mint condition. You can get them for about a thousand dollars but the parts are a dime a dozen.
