You can start by wiping any grime off with a paper towel and some Lysol. With the hard to reach areas you can buy some keyboard air cleaner and blow any debris away with the pressurized air.After you blow some dirt out wipe the cd player again with the paper towel to make sure you got all the dirt out.

First blow all the dust out of the inside of the cd player. The most important thing is to clean the laser eye of the cd player. Use windex and a light paper towel to clean the eye so it can read cds.
