Does Walden Pond really exist?

Or was that just a figment of Thoreau's and Emerson's imagination?

I've been to Walden Pond, and it does exist just as described just outside of Concord, Massachusetts. There is a walking path around the small, New England pond. It's a tradition to leave a rock in a pile near the site of his original home during his stay.

Walden Pond really exists, and you can go visit it. It is now a Massachusetts State Park. They even have a replica of Thoreau's cabin. Thoreau really did go to live in the woods, but he wasn't a hermit. He walked into town or people came out to visit him almost every day.
