Leyland Cypress trees can grow up to 3-4 feet per year, and they are drought tolerant. They have a feathery soft texture, and stays green all year long. It is recommended that you get potted Leyland Cypress Trees from a nursery, but it's not essential. I hope this has helped!

Leland Cypress is a popular Christmas tree, because it does not affect those with allergies to resins found on other varieties. It is often used ornamentally in gardens, but has a natural herbicide to inhibit competition from other plants. It is hardy to Zone 6 and can withstand temperatures to about 0F. It can only be propagated through cuttings.
