Coin values can vary greatly depending on year of issue, condition and which mint made the coin. Because of this, the value of a V nickel can range from $0.75 to more than $245.00

Unless damaged, you can expect to get a good price for it. If the year is clearly readable then just to start, it's worth 15 times it's original value.

Most Liberty nickels (minted from 1883 to 1912) are common and are only worth about 50 cents each. In excellent condition, maybe a couple of dollars.

Liberty Head V-Nickels are worth about 15 times the value of a nickel in good condition. Key dates could bring in much more. an example is an 1885 V-Nickel could go for $240+ each.
