Honestly, when someone says the word "Moor" I think of Shakespeare's play, Othello. I didn't realize until recently that there is a Moorish American political movement and also a religion. The two seem to be intertwined, with aspects of the religious creed informing political positions and vice versa. Their literature seems a little cult-like to me.
