What is the difference between pour batters with drop batters?

A pour batter is made to be poured from a bowl or server,like pancake batter, where a drop batter would be like a chocolate chip cookie, it has to be spooned and released and it is too thick to pour. Depending on what you are making decides what better you will be using.

Pour batters have the same ratio of liquid to solid and pour in a steady consistency. Drop batters are thicker and twice the amount of solid as liquid in them.
