Can you tell me the difference between salt and potassium?

I do not know the difference in salt and potassium.

Salt or table salt is a combination of two elements-Sodium and Chloride. Potassium is an element not combined with another element. Any element combined with the element Chloride can be called a salt. Postassium chloride is a salt and used as a substitute for table salt.

Salt can best be described as a compound made up of potassium and chloride. Potassium in itself is an element that is needed to make salt
