Lisinopril is used for the treatment of increased blood pressure, otherwise known as hypertension. It causes your blood vessels to increase in diameter resulting in a decrease of a patient's blood pressure. In addition, it also treats patients with congestive heart failure and improves survival after having a heart attack.

Lisinopril is usually prescribed for anxiety disorders. It may be used as a companion drug for depression when the patient also has anxiety problems. It is very effective for many users, I personally find it to be helpful in managing my anxiety issues.

Lisinopril is an Angiotensin Converting Enzyme inhibitor, which prevents the conversion of Angiotensin I to Angiotensin II, putting a stoppage on the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System. As Angiotensin II/III and Aldosterone exhibit pressor-like effects and Aldosterone allows retention of sodium and water, ACE-inhibitors such as Lisinopril, are used for the treatment of Hypertension, especially in patients with Diabetes and Heart Disease.

lisinopril is usually prescribed to treat high blood pressure. it contains a diuretic to rid the body of excess water. it is sometimes used to treat conjestive heart failure as well.
