Heat-treated food is food that is pasturized. The food is heated to above 135 degrees to kill bacteria. The most common heat treated food is milk. All milk that is sold in the United States has to be pasturized in order to be sold. In addition, juices are often pasturized as well.

Heat treated included ultra heat treatment process of food by heating it for an extremely short period i.e 1 to 2 seconds at 135 degree Celsius.
