Gaudy Dutch is a design of pottery and dishes dating to the early 1800's. Some claim that the design originated with the Pennsylvania dutch and were imported from England. The brand was famous until the mid 1880's. Most authentic pieces were not marked. If you are unsure check with an antique dealer.
