It is actually a type of roof that follows a convex curve about one axis and a concave curve about the other. Essentially looking like a saddle.

I believe your talking about this. a roof that has double sloping a ridge and gables on each end. I hope this helps.

A roof saddle is a Hyperbolic paraboloid. which means a structure or object shaped like a saddle. The structure is used in architecture and is more commonly known as a gable roof. A roof saddle is a two sided sloped, ridged roof with gables at each end.
