What are the best torches and tar for commercial roofing jobs?

I'm a contractor who does roofing, but this is my first commercial job. Is there something different I should use for the roof?

Did your contract specify a certain grade of tar or materials used? If not, you may want to check out the state regulations. Also, a handy site I found is: http://www. astm. org/Standards/roofing-standards. html. This will hopefully provide you with a background of what is available and current standards for your type of construction. Best wishes!

The best torches is from mixture of propane-butane gas. Torch must be long about 25cm, without smoke. You must have burner with good air flow for good combustion. The best tar is from UAE, Libya and Albania, but Serbia have the best tar mixture for roofing. You can use mixture 85/25, 100/25, or 125/25.

I am also a roofing contractor. I have found that the Red Dragon brand torches are a great product for about any job you could possibly come across. If you are doing a flat roof I would suggest using a modified bitumen torchdown.

Don't be stupid - leave it to an insured professional roofing contractor. You can't throw a blue tarp over a flat roof.

If all depends what the customer wants. Tar and gravel has been used as well as tar and roofing paper finished with tarred seams.
