RCIA is an acronym for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It consists of a series of informational classes for adults interested in becoming Roman Catholic. Generally lasting several months (typically prior to reception into the Church at the Easter Vigil) it introduces an adult to Catholic faith and practices.
