Metoprolol is used to treat hypertension, angina and to also treat or prevent heart attacks. Before taking, let your doctor know if you have congestive heart failure, low blood pressure or circulation problems Taking Metoprolol may blur your alertness and slow your reaction time. Drinking alcohol will intensify the drug's effects. Stopping suddenly will cause your condition to worsen.
