First you should visit your veterinarian to find out the cause of the incontinence. It could could something as simple as a bladder infection that can be treated with antibiotics. If this is not the case, get the dog on a regular feeding/drinking schedule. Be prepared to assist the dog every 4-6 hours. If required, doggy diapers are also available.

It really depends on the dogs age. For a puppy I recommend crate training them. It gives them comfort and they learn not to potty in the house. You can also teach them to use a potty pad. If it is a older dog, please get it checked out by vet.

You should see a vet. There are successful treatments for incontinence, including daily medication if needed. There are treatable conditions that lead to incontinence that once treated, may eliminate the problem altogether.

Make sure there is no underlying health issue causing the incontinence. It might be due to age, which means doggie diapers are your only solution. I had an incontinence problem with my dog, and come to find out she had bladder stones. After surgery she was back to normal.

Ofcourse the best you can do is walk him as often as possible! If it is not a medical condition, put him in a bench when at home. Dogs won't pee or poo in their own nest, so the bench will stay clean and dry. If it is a medical condition, keep him outdoors when the weather permits.

There are many ways to help your incontinent dog. The first thing that you need to remember is to always discuss this matter with your veterinarian before trying remedies at home.
