Treatment for a bite wound depends on the severity of the wound and the size difference of the dog. If the bite is gaping, bleeding, or if a small dog was picked up and/or shook, the dog should be taken to a veterinarian. For small bites, place an e-collar on the dog and clean with water and leave it alone.

Well, your dog could get rabies or something. So you have to go take to a vet to see if it's safe.

First make sure that the other dog is up to date with all of it's vaccines (especially rabies), than depending on how bad the bite is take it to the vet or clean it and let it close.

You need to get your dog to the vet right away you have no idea what the other dog may have they will check your dog to make sure it hasn't caught anything. They will also be able to clean the wound and dress it if it needs it so that no infection will get started.

You will need to clean and bandage the wound, and be sure to keep it sterile. The best place to start is with a visit to your vet.

It depends on how bad the bite was. If it was just a scratch you don't really need to do anything. If it broke skin a vet visit might be needed.

Well, I would first inform (and apologize to) the dog's owner. I'm not sure if charges against you can be filed or not, it probably depends on the situation(like whether or not your dog was provoked, etc. ) Animal control may have to be informed unfortunately.

If you have medical bills for your dog then you can go to the owner of the dog that bit yours and get the money for the vet bills. If they are unwilling to pay then take them to civil court.
