Heritage roses, those cultivated before hybrids are becoming more readily available thanks to dedicated growers. Some wonderful species are Bermuda's Spice, Secret Garden Musk Climber, Capitaine John Ingram and The Bishop. Thanks to the net, finding rare roses has become easier and there are many clubs you can share with.

The blue rose is the rarest. In the past the only way to get a blue rose was to dye it but in 2004 a blue rose was genetically created.
