The fuse for the stereo on the new beetles is not located behind the stereo, it is in the fuse box located on the drivers side near the door. #42

If the stereo is an after market stereo it will have a fuse. If it is not woring you should pull it out and make sure the fuse is good.

As far as I think there must be a fuse behind the stereo on a Vw bug because without it its impossible.
