In order for your TV to receive an HD picture the screen must use the 1080i, 1080p, or 720p format. It will also have HDMI or Component cable connections.

HDTV's use a special connector in order to receive the HDTV signal from your television company. It looks quite different from all of the analog connectors, which are round, as the HDTV connector is rectangular, about an inch wide, and 1/8th inch high.

There is no way to answer that question without me knowing what sort of TV you have. If it's a very old TV, no. Otherwise, probably, but you may need to pay for a converter box or similar service. No guarantee.

Look in the manual to check or even the box. It will usually be somewhere noticeable as nowadays it's a major selling point.

Without knowing the make and model I can't tell you. If you have the owners manual it should say. Most likely if it's an older tv it's not HD.

No, no tv is HDTV already. If you do have a tv that is capable of having HDTV then you have to change it to that channel.
