If LoJack is on my hard drive, can't someone just pull the drive? What's a better way?

There must be other security options.

The best way is to put it on the motherboard, where nobody will be able to pull it out. If the motherboard is pulled out of the computer, all that will remain will be the casing, worth a small amount.

You can lock your computer case so that it is not accessable. You can also encrypt and password protect the files on your computer so that even if someone were to get your harddrive they could not easily access the data on it.

As far as I know Lojack is the best security for a laptop, the only other thing I can think of is if there is a program that can be imbedded in the computer.

Yes, somone could, but short of installing a physical GPS device in the laptop, there isnt much else that could be done.
