There are many kinds of dogs ranging in size, temperament, and physical features. The types of dogs are divided into sporting dogs, non-sporting dogs, hounds, working breeds, terrier type, toy dogs, herding dogs, and miscellaneous type. There are, also, new mixes of breeds that have their own names and are quite popular.
