The manufacturer suggested distance is 15,000 KM, which is about 7000 miles. Most avid drivers seem to prefer a shorter change period of around 5000 miles to keep the oil at very clean levels.

To find out the exact oil change intervals you should read your owners manual. It should have a schedule maintenance guide with the recommend oil change mileage or time. Some engines require an oil change about ever 3,000 mile while others using full synthetic oil can go upward of 6,000 miles between changes.

The normal recomendation for most is every 3 months or 3 thoulsand miles, however with advances in science and better engines being produced its more like 4 to 5 thoulsand miles. It can also depend on the type of oil, conventional or snytechic.Mobile 1 now makes a 5000 mile as well as a 7500 mile oil with garantees

Most automobile owners manuals say to change the oil every 7,500 miles under normal driving. This also depends on the type of oil used in the vehicle.

Its recommened that you change the oil every 6000 miles or every year if you don't drive it much. Otherwise go by your oil life percentage.
