Go under the car and unscrew the bottom where the oil comes out. It is near the middle of the car up front. Let the oil drain out into a bucket. When it does, screw it back up and lift the hood and take off the oil cap and fill.

first off look on sticker under hood to see what type of oil is recommended, jack vehicle up and support it with stand. on bottom of motor is a plug in the oil pan, turn this with wrench to the left to remove. Have a pan ready to catch oil. also change oil filter.

You do it as you do with other cars. When the car is elevated, you go under it and unscrew the screw at the bottom of the oil pan. When all the oil is out, put back the screw and replace the old oil filter with a new one.

Have a drain pan and the right wrench for the oil pan bolt. Drain oil and then remove filter. Put new filter on, tighten oil pan bolt and add oil.

First of all, if it was me I would take it to an oil changing place and let them do it just in case something else is wrong or it is not done correctly, then they will be responsible and not you. You might want to check the owners manule that came with the vehicle.

Changing the oil in a Chevy Colorado should be just as easy as changing it on any other motor vehicle. Under the car you can find the oil tank. Remove it and let all the oil leak out of it, then just add new oil in the engine and you are set!
