Sarcoptic mites are what cause mange in dogs. While they are very east to catch, they are also just as easy to get rid of. Snip any long hair around the infected area, wash the skin with benzyl peroxide shampoo.

You can purchase an over the counter sarcoptic mange treatment. But I would recommended that you first consult your veterinarian before using any canine scabies treatments

Apply some Vitamin E or aloe to your pets affected areas.This will speed up their skin recovery.Wash all of your clothing,collars and bedding in a hot water.Clean all the areas where you pets stay in.

Sarcoptic mites is cannine scabies. Often times dogs with these mites will have their hair shaved and then they will be dipped in organophosphate dip. Lime sulfur dips have also been used effectively. For after care the dogs should have the appropriate Heard Guard medicines and Frontline treatments. He should be kept clean and bathed.

This requires a medication called ivermection. You should take you dog to the vet to get this medicine. Mites are so uncomfortable and lead to hair loss.
