Depending on your hardware, you will need to use s-video or use a Analog to Digital converter to USB 2.0 or Firewire. If you have a video capture card with analog inputs it will have to be compatitable with Windows Media Center devices to work. Check for drivers.

You simply connect your VCR in the same manner you would to a normal television. After that, you should be able to make copies of anything that isn't copy protected on VHS.

The answer to this question depends on the type of hardware your Windows Media Center is connected to. If your computer has a coaxial connector, then it would be possible to connect the VCR via coax cable (hierarchy). In the instance your PC has RCA connectors it may be possible to connect your VCR using RCA if it is supported.

Connect the VCR's Line Out" to the PC's Line In. This can sometimes be referred to as the aux port. Then, go into the settings pane in Windows Media Center and configure the VCR accordingly.
