What is the recommended placement for a master bedroom window with a pitched/vaulted ceiling?

We would like to create walk-in closet in our master bedroom that will offset the pitch of the ceiling. The current window is centered under the peak of the pitch. With the addition of the closet we will need to either reduce the window size or offset it.

How about installing an arch or eyebrow window above the closet? This would still allow light to enter but provide privacy and give a very dramatic element to the newly remodeled room. There are so many beautiful window styles available it should be fun to choose one. The best part is no window treatment would be needed.

It is completely a matter of personal taste. I would never make my windows smaller, but it depends on your desire for natural light.

I truly believe that you can put your window wherever you think you would like it. Personally I would just reduce the size, rather than offset.

An off-center window on a wall that is under a peaked pitch will look awkward and unnatural. If the window is interferring with a remodel, the ideal solution would be simply to reduce the size of the window.
