How can you speed up a child's intellectual development?

Normally you can help a child along with learning, if they seem to be having problems, by making the subject matter apply to them. If its science, do an experiment. If its something like reading, find them a subject they care about to read.

Remember that each child develops at their own pace. Parents can help: read and sing to your baby. No TV below the age of 3, and limit viewing after that.

It starts at the very beginning talk to your baby way before they can understand you from day one they will learn trust me. Use eye contact and movement then they will learn to do the same and link it to the words they learn.
