How can I treat a split toenail?

Trim the nail back as far as you can so it doesn't catch. Wash it with regular soap and water, being careful not to split it more. After that, keep a band aide on it and make sure it stays dry and clean. The nail should shed rather quickly.

The toenail needs to be protected to heal. Often the use of a false nail will allow the toenail to grow out. Getting a pedicure trimming the nail, then replacing the damaged nail with a false one will often heal it.

By keeping the split toenail clean and covered, it may have the opportunity to grow back. If the toenail does not grow back properly, visit a podiatrist for treatment.

I don't think you can treat it, it will have to grow out and then you can cut it right. Or go to a doctor and see what the doctor can do for it.
