The important thing is to keep your nails hygienic and dry. Try applying tea tree oil along with olive oil on your nails. Use anti-fungi creams (available in market) on your feet before going to bed. For prevention of appearing again, you better consult your doctor.

The best way to treat an infection is to see your doctor. Most toenail fungal infections need to be treated with an oral antibiotic to make sure that it is fully cured. You should be aware that it generally takes several months for you to see improvement and the product to work.

A local cream like ketoconazole won't be sufficient and you will need a course of oral tablets like fluconazole. It will take at least 3 months to get cured.
