If you are a minor, you will need a legal guardian appointed to work on your behalf to serve as your adult representative. Another option may be to first become emancipated from your parents. At that time, your parents would no longer have a right to control your money but, beware, no further child support would be ordered.

You can't if you are under legal age, unless you can get an advocate appointed for your interests. Consult the court. You need the court to appoint a protector.

Go to the Clerk's office in the Family Court in your county. Ask for help filing a motion. It's simple. Take along information regarding the father, his address, etc. so that he can be notified. You will then attend a motion hearing to set up a hearing about child support. You will need proof of your income, too.

You have to make sure there is not an existing child support order in effect and you just don't know about it. Also your other parent has to file it.
