Can you still program a Commodore 64?

Couldn't you write your own games for it?

I am sure if you still had a commodore 64 you could still actively write programs for it, but the commodore 64 is so old it would be hard just to find the computer unless you buy a used or reconditioned one, and yes if you knew how to program you could write your own games for it.

Sure but it'll be tough, plus if it breaks you'll have to pay through the nose to repair it. Better off getting a more recent machine. There's a lot of good, cheap, and easy computer programming possibilities available today.

Yes you can still program it if you can find the correct file format the programs need to be in. And they have emulators out for it so you could technically write games for it still.

Absolutely! As long as you have a functioning Commodore 64 and you know all of the programming languages that it supports, you should be able to program on it.
