Not unless your vet tells you it's ok, some things such as benadryl will be ok, but due to the size/weight of dog you need to speak with your vet.

You may not want to risk giving your dog over the counter medication. If it is human stuff, it can mess with your dog's system and cause them to become quite ill. If your vet recomends over the counter because it is cheaper, listen to their advice. But don't self prescribe anything.

Some OTC's are fine when recommended by a veterinarian. Aspirin, Pepto Bismal, and Benadryl are some examples of OTC's that may be advised by your vet. Recommended dosages will vary according to weight and ailment. Not all OTC's can be given to dogs.

Never, ever give your dog any over the counter medications without the direct recommendation from your vet. Human medications can be very harmful to your pet.

If you're talking about over the counter medicine for humans then you shouldn't do it. You shouldn't give your dog anything unless your Vet says it's okay to. However, if you are giving your dog things like joint supplements for dogs go ahead.

You can give your dog aspirin,Tylenol or ibuprofen. These medications are not toxic to dogs. If you have to use some type of medication on your dog,use one of these 3.
