I would buy a used SUV. I think it is perfectly reasonable to buy used vehicles, provided that you have them thoroughly inspected prior to purchase, everything works, and the mileage isn't too high.

In this economy absolutely not. Regardless of how cheap it is with the price of gas these days that would be absolutely suicide. It is estimated that by years end gas will have hit five dollars a gallon. Right not filling up an SUV is about seventy five dollars. By then it will be over one hundred dollars. Not smart.

There really is no issues with buying a used vehicle as long as you do your homework about it and thoroughly check it out before buying. However I wouldn't by a suv anyway. They get worse mileage and cost more than a truck or a station wagon.

The way the gas prices are now days, I would not buy a SUV. The way the gas prices are now at close to five dollars a gallon it would cost you one hundred dollars to fill up.
