Will braiding your hair prior to going to bed make it wavy?

I would like my hair to be curly for an event and was thinking of braiding it prior to going to bed.

If you braid it while it is wet it may make it wavy, but not curly. The best way to make it curly is to use a curling iron or straightener. After thoroughly cleaning your hair make sure it about 70% dry and then curl it after putting some product in it.

Yes, particularly if you braid your hair when it's wet, it will be wavy once it dries. However, if you are wanting your hair to be curly I recommend sleeping on sponge rollers rather than braids. Either way you want to start with wet hair and test days in advance.

Braiding your hair prior to going to bed will make it wavy, especially if your hair is damp. However, the waves are likely to be uneven. It would be best to use large rollers or a large-barrel curling iron to create waves or curls. This way, you have more control over the way your hair appears.

Yes, braiding your hair before bed will make ti wavy but it won't make it curl. You'll get deeper waves if it's wet when braided.
