Will bleach take pink out of whites?

I don't like to use bleach in my laundry, but I will if it will work.

Copious amounts of bleach will ruin your clothes, so using bleach is not advised. There are many products and laundry detergents on the market now specifically designed to remove stains, and I would say to try those out first since they will be much gentler on your clothes! Use bleach only as a last resort alternative.

The best thing to do is use bleach and hot water to clean the item that you wish to whiten. Bleach is very effective at getting the pink out of clothes that are meant to be white. Make sure that the bleach does not have direct contact with the clothing outside the washer as it will eat the fabric.

Bleach will take pink out of anything that was once white. If you put something red in with your whites and they are all pink now... adding a cap full or more of bleach will remove it. I also suggest soaking whites in the sink with bleach and a little water before putting them in a normal wash.

It depends on two things, the type of dye and the type of tissue. Indeed there are some types of dye that are resistant to bleach and there are some materials which tends to become yellowish when bleached. Try applying a drop of bleach in a portion of the item which is not usually visible and see what happen.
