Yes, your vet will prescribe clavamox depends on your cat if the feline is allergic to the medicine. Always clean your feline ear if you see black waxs..

A vet would not normally give antibiotics for an ear infection but will give clavamox if it has a skin infection.

It depends on the infection. You really need to have your vet look at your cat in order to rule out ear mites or fleas.

A vet could possibly prescribe this. If you already have some on hand, I would hold off on administering it to the feline. The reason being, that you do not want to over/underdose your animal. In addition, the medicine you have on hand may be out of date, and/or no longer effective.

Clavamox is routinely prescribed for infections because it is an antibiotic. For an ear infection a vet would also prescribe something to actually go in the ear to help with pain, swelling and bacteria. Let the vet know you already have Clavamox so they can ensure the correct dosage and they will get you additional medications.

Feline ear infections are usually treated topically with ear drops. Unless the condition is severe, the vet probably will not prescribe your cat any oral antibiotics. Because the infection can be caused by different kinds of bacteria or yeast, the vet will help you determine which ear drop is best for your kitty.

It depends on the type of infection and how severe it is if clavamox would be prescribed for this condition. If you have the liquid type this is only good for 10-14 days from the time it is mixed up and may not be useful if its older than that.
