With everything going on in the country, an important part of why to choose Obama is that he is new to the political world. We need fresh ideas and different perspectives.

Those who voted for Barack Obama felt that the country was in a downward swing on many fronts, including the economy, health care and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. They wanted the change that Mr. Obama promised to deliver.

I would vote for Barack Obama because he is young, forward looking and he seems to have a grasp on situations which affect the common man.

I admit that I did not cast my vote for either Obama or McCain. Now that he's been in for a year and has identified himself as a Muslim, and a Socialist, I cannot wait until he is impeached or his term is up. He has patently misrepresented himself since taking office, and continues to do so.

First because he seems to have good moral values. Second, because he cares about the country and the world. Third, because he is a Democrat.
