You may need an RF modulator if you have a bunch of things running into your tv. I had to buy one because I wanted to hook up my dvd player my playstation and my nintendo and I did not have enough slots for all of it.

RF modulator are used when don't have component inputs. It connects to the device then splices into the coaxial cable. Look online for where to buy the one you need.

An RF modulator is a device used to convert signals from an RCA device into a television with only antenna/cable input. It usually uses channel 2 or 3. Radio shack will likely have one, but they should also be available at large stores such as wal mart and best buy. They cost about $30.

If you have an old television that has an antenna connection, you will need an RF Modulator in order to connect a DVD player to your television. The function of an RF modulator is simple; the RF modulator converts the video and audio output of a DVD player into a channel that is compatible with a TVs antenna input.
