Why was Chris Golightly kicked off American Idol?

Chris Golightly got kicked off of American idol because someone told the producers he had a recording contract. After he had got disqualified, they found he had been released from the contract before the audition it was too late. He was already replaced.

it was simply because his singing was not up to par of the other contestants. He was not kicked off he was voted off simple as that that's the truth despite other stories.

American idol showed Chris Golightly the door because he already had a recording contract with a record company. That is a big no-no when you are trying to win a competition involving amateur musicians.

well ... i think that he wasn't kicked from there because he was a good singer ... so i think he deserves what happaned to him , this is just my opinion
