Why is there a lot of dragon merchandise lately?

There is actually a new childrens cartoon out in theatres right now. It's called "How to train your Dragon". This is the reason there are so many dragon merchandise out in the stores these days.

Most thing seem to have taken a turn on the fantasy side. Movies like Clash of the titans and Alice in Wonderland have come out. Even older but still kind of recent movies have an effect such as Harry Potter. Fantasy is what is hot right now. Maybe thats why you've seen it around.
