Why is a blood pressure reading different in each arm?

Your heart rate can change within minutes. This affects your blood pressure as your cardiac output is affected by your blood pressure. That could be one explanation of your change in blood pressure. Circulation or decreased circulation on one side of the body could be another cause. This can happen in breast cancer survivors because of decreased circulation.

If the difference is significant, it may be caused by an underlying heart condition or something in your aorta is wrong. Best to consult a doctor.

I think it depends on when you take it. I don't think it is diffrent really in each arm. I just think it is the time you take it.
