Your cats hearing is very acute, therefore very high pitched noises and sounds may actually hurt your cat. It could be objecting to the pitch of your sneeze.

a sneeze isnt something you normally do so it must surprise your cat when you do it. it could be the cats way of saying 'what are you doing?' cats are funny creatures.

It is written that cats meow when a person sneezes simply because they are surprised. A sneeze is something that is unpredictable, so the meow is a way to put up a guard of some sort. They also scratch, run, hide, hiss, and of course, meow very faintly. There it is.

Your cat may feel threatened by the sudden noise and is responding instintively to that noise. The cat may just be startled.

Many cats react to sudden and loud noises in a variety of ways. Most likely your cat is responding to your noisy sneezing as she would if other loud noises occurred. The main difference is that, due to exposure to your sneezes, your cat no longer views these noises as threats or unknowns.

He's just gotten a habit of doing it. As cute as it is, it's just that he has a habit of meowing when you sneeze. Like when you talk to them and they answer you back, it's simply because they do it every time you talk to them.

It's just a fact of life. Back in the 1980s, there was a woman who fainted every time she heard Mary Hart talk on "Entertainment Tonight. "

Ok, not really buyin the startled thing. I have two cats, one reacts, one doesn't. The one that reacts, reacts when I inhale before I sneeze. I believe she thinks I am having pain when I am sneezing and is sympathizing. That is the tone she uses.
