Are you sure you have a gasoline engine on the tractor. Remember if it is a diesel engine then there will be no spark, only a glow plug. Make sure this is not the case before you go replacing all sorts of pieces on the engine. These types of engines usually use glow plugs.

This is cause buy five items; Battery, Disturber, Coil, plugs, or Wires. Have them all tested. only one will be ruled out. Be sure to always disconnect the battery cables.

With the battery connected and the ignition switch on, look inside the distributor at the points. Move them back and forth to see if there is spark there. If not, you probably need to replace ignition switch, condenser, or a wire. If there is, try coil, plug wire, rotor, cap.

Well not knowing the engine history or your tractor it's difficult to say. The first thing to do is make sure you have a good battery. From there check every component to make sure it is functioning and intact.

It depends on that what kind of tractor is it? If it is a diesel engine then it will happen, otherwise we have to be sure about the connection ofbattery.
