Why does my Mitsubishi HDTV 1080i turn off intermittently?

Depending on the age, and if it has been moved at all, certain connections can become loose over time. If you are competent with electronics, you can try and check this yourself. (make sure the power is unplugged) Another common issue with TVs turning off (especially rear projection) is overheating. See if the TV feels hot when it turns off.

It may be as simple as finding your manual and calling Mitsubishi, sometime they are aware of these issues, or it could be wires in your television need re-soldered.
