Computers freeze over many reasons but it could stem from lack of memory. When a computer gets more programs installed and running it tends to eat up memory faster. The memory that originally assisted you with your previous tasks are now assisting your new programs thus robbing you of efficiency

If your computer keeps freezing at random times during random activities, there is one of two problems; malware or registry errors. Glary makes a good free registry cleaner and Lavasoft makes Ad Aware, the most used free spyware protection program. Get a good virus protection software and both of these.

Might be a power supply problem, bad ram memory, computer viruses, unstable overclocking (if you applied any). Anyway taking your computer to a PC technician is your best bet.

With random issues, validate the hardware your hardware first. Open a command line and run chkdsk /r on the root drive to validate disk data. Download memtest86 to test RAM.
