Children are very excited about the world around them, the new things they are seeing and doing and you are the most important person in their life.

Young children learn the meaning of words and proper grammar from asking questions and receiving answers. Children also verbalize what they are thinking in an effort to gain interaction with adults. Language elicits interaction so that they can learn about the world around them. This is normal. The issue is to teach them self control and to not interrupt.

Children talk a lot because they've just mastered a new skill - verbal communication, and are proud of themselves. They are also trying to learn about the world around them. What better way than asking questions? Finally, they talk so much because they can! They enjoy hearing the sound of their voice.

Your child probably just has a very outgoing personality. Depending on the age of your child, it could be a sign of high intelligence. However, if most of what the child says seems to be just geared at getting attention, it could be a sign that they feel ignored and crave more interaction.
