Most systems cycle on and off to maintain a desired temperature, cutting on and off is normal. If it stops working until you cycle the breaker, have it looked at.

I would first check your thermostat. Typically thermostats are guaranteed for 3-5 years but they don't always last that long. Call the company that produced your thermostat and ask them to help you troubleshoot it. If it checks out they will be able to give you other suggestions.

If the water is not drained properly after filling the drip pan with water ice will start to form on the cold coil, it will stop your AC from working. So keep the drip pan clean and and make the draining system properly. So, when the air conditioner stop working check the draining system.

Any ICE on the coil could be caused by incorrect pressures or dirty coil.  add a comment

Have you tried checking the plug? Maybe it's not plugged in. Or maybe a rat or mouse bit the wire and the wire snapped. It happens quite often you know.

Need more information. Does it completely shut down? Does it come back on by itself? Please advise!

Well if it just stopped working, then there may be some damage to it. This may seem like a problem of the parts burning up here and there. Did it make any sounds? Like a whining or a chopping sound before it shut off? If it did, contact customer service.

There is more than likely something wrong with the wiring or the thermostat. If you can't fix it yourself call a professional and they should be able to help you.
