Why did Veruca Salt split?

Veruca Salt began to split up after Nina Gordon left the band. With one of the key members gone the other members pretty much went their seperate ways. It does look like they tried to reform a few years ago though.

The members of Veruca Salt felt that they had exhausted the group creatively and wanted to work on new projects with other people.

Contrary to popular belief, Veruca Salt have not split up. They aren't quite as active now and haven't released new music recently, but they are still together as a band.

Gordon left in 1998 to persue a solo career, although they recruited new members. The band recorded a cover in 2007 for a breast cancer benefit.

Nina Gordon left the band to pursue a solo career, Gordon and post had creative differences in the songwriting process, never collaborating, but individually writing their own complete songs and teaching the other after completion. There is not enough specific information as to the content of their dispute, but had centered mostly around sharing the frontwoman role.

Veruca Salt never officially split. The lineup did change many times, however. As of 2007 they were still recording, and released a cover of a Neil Young song.

If I remember right I think they both went their own way to do solo cause they had a hard time agreeing on things such as music.

Stolen boyfriends, fights between the two (physical and creative) led to the very sudden split of Gordon and Post.

Louise Post studied music and English at Barnard College. Nina Gordon came up in garage bands. Post acted like a know-it-all and lorded her education/background over the others.
